Adsense common mistakesThe Google AdSense lessons you are going to get today will drastically change your perspective and improve your chances of success.

Most people who start off with Google AdSense do so with little knowledge of what is expected. Generally speaking, there are at least 6 common mistakes that people make when it comes to making money with AdSense and today I will share with you what these 6 mistakes are and how you can avoid them.

Mistake #1: Violation of AdSense Program Policies

Every person who is serious about making money with Google’s program has to not just know about their program policies but strictly follow them as well.

Many people place ads at deceptive spots on their pages, even though Google doesn’t allow it. Then there comes the day where a Google engineer reviews their website and finds a violation of their policies. This is just one reason why many people end up being banned from AdSense and they think it was just because the person reviewing their site had a bad day. That’s far from the truth.

Other common problems are lack of quality content, clicking on your own ads, and not having the mandatory Contact Us, Privacy Policy and Disclaimer pages on the website.

Whether you are already running AdSense on your sites or considering it make sure to carefully read their program policies.

Mistake #2: Not Having a Business Model

Your mindset and business model are the most important facets of success. You have to know how you are going to make money with AdSense. Do you intend to keep your AdSense sites for long term income or do you prefer to sell your websites after a few months to reinvest into other avenues of online marketing?

Carefully plan how many websites you are going to work on, how many pages you are going to write or outsource each week, how much you will spend on backlinking and whether to keep the sites or sell them.

These are all basic but fundamental principles of planning that should not be missing!

Mistake #3: Not Selecting The Right “keywords”

Keyword research is one of the most important skills you can ever master in SEO. This skill can either make or break your financial future.

You want to find “money keywords”, keywords that people type into Google to buy a product that they want and need. Data has proven that online based products offer the best kewyords for AdSense. Under online based products we understand “intangible products/services” that people can only find online. Everything that has to do with online education is not just fantastic, but extremely profitable for AdSense.

You want to use Google’s keyword tool to find keywords that are highly competitive and are paying a decent amount per click.

There are a great many products out there on AdSense that can help you to master this skill.

Mistake #4: Excessive Use of Keywords In Content

The times where excessive use of keywords in your content was getting you on the first page within days are over. Google wants to see valuable and relevant content that provides real solutions to real problems.

The keyword density, meaning how often your keyword is used throughout the page should be kept lower. A good keyword density should be around 1%. You can always (and should) add plenty of relevant keywords to your content.

With that being said, make sure that your content reads smoothly, provides immense value and is extremely relevant to your primary keyword.

Mistake #5: Inadequate Ad Placement

You have to place your ads on the right spots to reach the best possible CTR. The best placement for the ad is always on the top of the page. But be warned, you need to make sure to have some content above the fold or you are violating the program policies.

Google doesn’t want your website to be an ad farm with a bunch of useless information just to reach the highest CTR (click through rate). Either way, your goal should be to make your ads stand out to encourage people to click on them.

Mistake #6: Insufficient/Inadequate Backlinking

You have probably heard in the past a thousand times that backlinking is the engine of SEO. To consistently rank your web pages on the first page of Google, you have to work with the latest backlinking strategy.

You need to know what backlinking sources to use, what link velocity you need to work with and what to do once you have reached the desired spot for your keyword.

Backlinking does take time and money. Even though so many people are saying that SEO is free, it is not. If you are not hiring an SEO company to take care of your website’s ranking, you have to do it yourself which does involve some investments. As you can see, you either pay someone else do it for you or you do it yourself and both options require some money.

These are the 6 most common mistakes that people make when it comes to making money with Google AdSense. Make sure that you avoid these mistakes by being very strict and disciplined in the way you take action.
